A very informative visit to Luddenham to view the new airport web site was held. We were in a place to see the progress thus far in addition to see plans for the completed airport and opening schedule.
Probus Day was celebrated in October with a picnic in Fagans Park It was a chance to understand some of the excellent services we have in the space and to have a really relaxing and gratifying BBQ. November noticed a visit to Cockatoo Island.
The guide took the members on the Lower Island Tour and defined a few of the history of this area which has been used since the days of Governor Phillip for a wide range of activities from convict prison to Naval repair base.
The monthly guest speakers have covered a variety of items of interest. A consultant from Services NSW spoke in October to go through a number of the benefits available to members in a wide range of areas. In September we had a chat on the activities of Days for Girls.
The yr will end with a Christmas Lunch at Glenorie RSL. We look forward to another varied and interesting 12 months in 2024 with plans properly underneath means for a lot of exciting actions.
The Club meets on the at 11.00am on the 4th Wednesday of the month at Glenorie RSL and new members are welcome.
